معظم أقمشة الملابس اليوم هي مزيج مكون من قطن صناعي وطبيعي .. وبوليتسر .. مع مادة مطاطية (سباندكس)
القطن هو النوع الأشهر في هذا المزيج ؛ فوزنه خفيف، و أليافه رقيقة و قوية بنفس الوقت، ليعطي منظر (الاسكرب الواقف) .. وبالصيف تمتص الأقمشة القطنية الرطوبة ؛ فلذلك هو مناسب للاستخدام في البيئات الخارجية
ولكن تكمن مشكلته : باحتمالية بهتان القماش بكثرة الغسيل، وحاجته للكوي والحرارة بعد كل استخدام؛ لأن أليافه تتقلص.
النوع الثاني هو البوليستر : وهي أنسجة تشبه النايلون
وميزة هذا النوع من القماش أنك لن تحتاج لكيّه، حتى لو حاولت تجعيده سيبقى أملس ضد التجاعيد، ويمتاز بسرعته في الجفاف من الماء ؛ لأنه كاره للماء، لكن تكمن
مشكلته في أنه غير مناسب بالصيف ولا يمتص الرطوبة، فهو أنسب للاستخدام بالبيئات الداخلية .. ومنظره بالعادة طايح وفضفاض أكثر
وبكل تأكيد: حتى تستفيد من مزاياهم الاثنين ؛ فتختار الأقمشة المخلوطة (وهذا غالب الأقمشة الموجودة بالسوق)
لكن كلما زادت نسبة القطن .. أخذ الاسكرب مواصفات القطن..
وكلما زادت نسبة البوليستر .. أخذ الاسكرب مواصفات البوليستر
أخيرًا .. وأيًا كان اختيارك
